You website looks good, loads quickly, has compelling content but still isn't converting - time to look at the 'calls to action'

A call to action is all about convincing people to take action on your site, interact with it, do whatever it is you want them to do, be it buy something from your store, fill in your contact form or pick up the phone and give you a call.

So why don't site convert ? Could it be that your calls to action are ambiguous, hidden in sea of content, or simply not there at all.

Make sure the call attracts the visitors attention. Make sure it stands out from the rest of the content. Use font style or size to differentiate it, use colour or contrast to highlight it, stick it in a funky graphic, anything to get the user to see and act upon it.

Make it succinct and leave no room for misunderstanding. 'Download this', 'Read this' or 'Buy this' give clear meaningful instructions to your site visitor.

Don't leave it to your visitor to guess how you want them to interact with your site. Tell them and get your site conversions increasing as a result.
