Welcome to Danson Digital
"When I approached Danson Digital all I knew is that I wanted a Web site to promote my business, being tech adverse I had no idea how to achieve it. I was contacted by one of their chief designers Stuart Hutchinson who took care of everything, more importantly he explained the whole process in easy language with minimal techno speak. The design process was effortless with Stuart guiding me all the way. A fantastic personal service. I get excellent feedback from my clients about the Site and I have no hesitation in recommending Danson Digital".

The Danson Digital CMS
Complete control is at your fingertips.
The ability to keep content up to date and relevant is key to keeping your site visitors returning to your site. Content Management Systems enable non technical members of your organisation to update and maintain the site.
Our bespoke system consists of five separate components, each one designed to make your new website easy to update:
- A page template system. Any content provided via the CMS will be laid out within the site, using the existing site templates. Formatting of the text and images will be done automatically using site wide Cascading Style Sheets thus maintaining visual consistency throughout the site.
- A data repository. Content supplied via the CMS will be automatically stored within the site databases in a struc tured format. When contributors enter content, it is stored so that the system can merge the data with the templates to generate HTML when the documents are published.
- WYSIWYG input system. A ‘What You See Is What You Get’ (WYSIWYG) editor will be incorporated into the CMS providing contributors with a familiar user interface into which content can be added. The editor will allow limited formatting of the text and images, but will prevent changes to the style likely to cause visual inconsistency within the web site.
- A workflow system. The CMS will allow certain users to add content but not allow that content to be published until such time as it has been approved for inclusion on the site. Certain users will be granted the role of ‘Moderator’ to ensure that the content provided via the CMS is suitable and appropriate. Once the content has been re- viewed they will have the ability to mark the content ‘ready for publication’.
- Content publishing system. Once content is in the repository and has been approved for publication, the content management system will automatically merge the content with the appropriate site template and publish it on the web site.
